City to give back for going "green".
Effective January 1st 2009, the City of Denton Texas will offer rebates to residents who install solar panels or other energy savings products. Denton Municipal Electric will provide rebates for new and existing construction that include upgrades to higher efficiency air conditioning and heat pumps, radiant barriers, solar window screens, attic insulation, programmable thermostats, solar water heating systems and solar panel systems. The $180,000 program include up to $15,000 rebates on a typical systems that may cost $30,000 - Heating and A/C Upgrades
